My core research area is the mid-eighteenth century American frontier and I've lectured in London, Scotland, Pennsylvania and Memphis. Between 2003 and 2013 I taught for the Open University.
I'm available as a speaker on aspects of the early modern British empire, especially frontier, military and race issues.
